Trisha McMahon — Chief Executive Officer

A veteran communicator with more than three decades of experience in the New York City media whirlwind as a writer, editor, publisher, marketer and public relations professional, Trisha McMahon has built a reputation for honesty, reliability and integrity throughout her varied and high-profile career. Managing Editor of Beauty Digest, Editor of Beauty magazine, highly successful custom publisher in several vertical markets including shopping malls, drug stores and trade shows, as well as 12 years as founding editor-in-chief of IN New York magazine,  the city’s most elegant and sought-after in-room visitor magazine, where she was so successful that within six years, she had been named the EIC for the entire Morris Visitor Publications Stable of NY magazines, adding Where-New York, Where Guestbook NY, Quick Guide and the popular IN-New York Maps to her portfolio. She was ultimately promoted to Sr. VP, Communications and Public Relations of MVP-NY, overseeing all creative output from the four magazines, to the sales materials, as well as three public websites: mvp.com, innewyork.com, and wheretravelerny.com. Building upon this strong foundation, she launched Trisha McMahon & Company in 2011 to market her writing and editing expertise to publishers and small business, but after two years working with an array of clients – from seasoned business owners to entrepreneurial start-ups – she found their needs really extended beyond mere copywriting: Once the beautiful words were finalized, they still needed to get them out to prospects, clients or customers, but rarely had the time, experience or funds to do so. As a result, she expanded her services in 2013 to include marketing, PR and an array of publishing support activities under the new banner of McMahon Media Connections. “At MMC,” she says, “we take the client by the hand, devise a cost-effective, efficient plan that she or he can afford, and lift the burden of creative planning, implementation and follow-through from his or her shoulders. Our talented team works non-stop to deliver effective marketing that is clear, concise and perfectly targeted in an ever-expanding world of media opportunities.” Trisha enjoys bouncing between MMC offices in CA, FL, NY and CT, but when she’s not completely consumed by her work, you’ll find her spending time with her sons, dining with friends, or visiting family abroad.

George Thomas Wilson

George Thomas Wilson — Director, Special Projects

The first PR job George Thomas Wilson ever had was in the Information Office of the University of Alabama where media outlets were organized on a wall of literal “pigeonholes” into which printed releases were placed before distribution, but it wasn’t long before he had relocated to NYC and, within two years, was Senior Writer for Booke & Co., which, at the time, ranked fifth in billings among New York City PR firms. His clients included Union Carbide, Olympus Cameras, Savin Copiers, Mothercare, and Bic Consumer Products (pens and razors).Following this, he spent five years as partner in Weinstein/Wilson Communications, a boutique firm serving a long list of interior designers, restaurants and other small-scale clients, before jumping  the PR ship to spend nearly two decades in the magazine business. He began by serving seven years with Rolling Stone, where he was Publicity Manager and held several sales positions before being hired away by Spin Magazine where he spent four years as Marketing Director. He also served as MD for two years at OUT Magazine, and for four years at Morris Visitor Publications, publishers of the four New York City “visitor magazines” of record, including Where and In New York, that serve the 52 million tourists who annually descend on Gotham.
